WMF Clock with Glass Columns*
Item Description
Impressive silver-plated chiming table clock from WMF, Geislingen, dating from circa 1920.
With a glass covered round copper dial displaying Roman numerals and two winders.
The front features two glass columns, with engraved floral decoration to the rear, and a pendulum suspended in between. There is a pleasing chime on the hour and half-hour.
Marked verso with the WMF ostrich, I/O and OX symbols and the number 821. Also showing the mark B & C over H which we assume refers to the original retailer. The height is 49 cm.
This fine clock has very recently been professionally overhauled and serviced.
