Swedish Pendant marked HABE*
Item Description
Pendant in silver-gilt made towards the end of WW2.
With an upright rectangular outline, and set with a ceramic plaque depicting in relief a side-on figure, kneeling with hands on knees and head bowed.
The figure has a soft outline in muted shades of blue, the same colour as the background, but is highlighted with the surrounding addition of dark, almost black accents.
Showing on the back the maker’s mark HABE about whom we’ve been unable to find any information, together with a Swedish hallmark for the town of Göteborg (Gothenburg) and the symbol S8 for the year 1944.
From the top of the bale the length is 5.5 cm with the necklace chain measuring approximately 47 cm.
