Marius Hammer Silver Gilt and Enamel Brooch*
Item Description
Skønvirke festoon brooch crafted in silver gilt by the Norwegian master jeweller and silversmith Marius Hammer.
Dating from the early 1900’s this ornately designed brooch with its vibrant red enamelling features a sweeping Art Nouveau inspired top section completed with a little inverted heart in the centre.
Beneath this, silver wirework detail is fashioned and little teardrop shaped drops cascade, all enamelled in the same shade of red.
Clearly marked with the MH maker’s mark and approximately 6 cms. in length.
