Silver and Moonstones Scorpion Brooch
Item Description
A good example of a 1920’s-30’s silver brooch in the form of a stylised scorpion.
Set with five moonstones, three of which are graduated in size along the insect’s body, with one on each side just behind the pincers. Two little dark green coloured stones form the eyes.
Very well shaped and contoured with even the tip of the tail curling upwards.
Fitted with a safety chain for extra security when wearing, although this could quite easily be removed if preferred.
A good size at 9.25 cms. long.
