Silver Ring Box*
Item Description
Pretty little silver box, probably intended for rings or other small trinkets, made by Deakin and Francis Ltd and hallmarked Birmingham 1905.
The sides and ends are flat and smooth with just the top of the hinged lid decorated. This is gently domed and shows a hand-hammered finish with shaped edges and a blank cartouche in the centre.
Lifting the lid reveals a gilded interior, including the underside of the lid itself.
Approximately 12 by 4 cm and 3 cm high to the top of the lid. A good weight for its size at 118.5 gms.
