Silver and Enamel Necklace attr. to Murrle Bennett*
Item Description
Silver Arts & Crafts necklace with a lightly hammered finish to the background and a detail of little leaves draped over the top.
In the centre is a vibrant bluey-green enamelled oval, and five convex circles run around the lower part of the edge of the pendant.
The original and typically Arts & Crafts silver chain, with its two leafy spacers, staggered long and short links and original toggle type fastener, is a perfect fit for the necklacce.
Unmarked but with a strong Murrle Bennett look and very probably from their workshops, dating from 1890-1900.
The pendant measures 3.5 cm in length and the chain is just shy of 40 cm long.
