Silver and Amber Pendant*
Item Description
Large Arts & Crafts silver pendant set with an elongated, almost boat-shaped piece of well coloured amber.
Gently convex and fully polished on the front side only, the collet set amber is framed all round in an ornately designed silver wirework frame embellished with little silver ball shapes.
This detail is continued at regular intervals along the dedicated necklace chain.
No clasp on the chain, simply fitting over the head, with a length of approximately 63 cm.
We believe this pendant to be French in origin. There are a couple of marks on the back, one being what looks to be the maker’s mark ‘M’ and the other possibly a French silver mark although we are unable to properly decipher it.
The pendant is 7.5 cm long.
