Pair of Art Nouveau Ladies*
Item Description
Delightful pair of matching Art Nouveau “Lady” lamps with pretty glass shades. Perfect for bedside tables, these give a pleasing light and really look the part.
Typically stylised form with the slender Nouveau maidens wearing long and elegant gowns decorated with leaves at the waist. They are leaning gracefully forwards and holding out in front of them the lamp fittings.
Made from a quality art metal and standing on squared bases showing a stylised design of leaves and berries.
Dating from around 1910 and with a height of approximately 45-46 cm. The bases, which are still backed with old soft felt, are around 13 cm square.
These lamps have been rewired recently with three-core cable and are earthed.
