Arts & Crafts Silver and Amethyst Pendant*
Item Description
This is a typical example of a very well made Arts & Crafts silver pendant but, showing no marks, is by a completely unknown maker.
Almost certainly English and dating from circa 1910, the pendant shows fine filigree work all round and is set in the centre with an upright oval faceted amethyst flanked by a pair of little circular mother-of-pearl discs.
Close examination reveals four marcasites set at north, south, east and west and the pendant is completed with a little amethyst drop.
Just over 6 cms. in length including the bale, with the silver necklace chain measuring 46 cms.
