Item Description
Art Nouveau silver pendant from Murrle Bennett & Co., one we’ve not seen before, enamelled with a green-leafed tree in full fruit – the mythological ‘Tree of Life’.
Approximately triangular in shape, the silver has a hammered finish decorated with little raised dots just inside the two sloping sides and sinuous wirework curves at the bottom corners.
The tree itself is outlined in silver and raised slightly above the hammered background of the pendant, giving a three-dimensional look.

Marked on the reverse with the maker’s mark and 950 silver content (more pure than sterling).
With a length of around 4 cm including the bale and 3 cm wide. The chain is 54 cm long.
