Marius Hammer Necklace*
Item Description
Silver gilt and enamel necklace by Marius Hammer.
A typically ornate, elegant design with an openwork frame shaped into swirls, and a five-pronged fanned comb detailed with little pearly enamelled dots on the tips.
Matching coloured enamelled ‘cabochons’ add further decoration and from the centre hangs a teardrop shaped enamelled drop.
Below, suspended on two short lengths of chain, is a triangular outlined section enclosing a pair of mirrored curlicews, and with three enamelled ‘pearls’ and another teardrop forming a series of drops.
A delightful necklace and full of movement, marked with the Marius Hammer maker’s mark and the 930s silver mark.
11 cm long from the bale to the lowest drop, with the necklace chain measuring approximately 46 cm.
