Maidens at the Baths
Item Description
Super Art Nouveau serigraph signed by the French artist Henri Daudin and dated 1911.
Depicting two young maidens reclining beside a pool in a classical setting. A swan is elegantly gliding past and the whole image is of a peaceful and mildly erotic scene.
Daudin was only active artistically for a short period as he died whilst still a young man during the First World War. His work is becoming more sought after now and turns up at auction from time to time.
Still in its original frame but unglazed, the image only measuring approx. 24 X 40 cm.
