Gold Pendant by Knox for Liberty
Item Description
Pendant in 15 ct. gold designed by Archibald Knox for the Liberty of London store circa early 1900’s.
With a strongly angled outline which tapers dramatically as it descends, and featuring a sharp whiplash design on each side which is so typical of Knox’s work.
Set in the centre is an oval faceted citrine and a fine baroque pearl is suspended below.
Complete with the original shaped bale but showing no marks although we are quite confident of the attribution.
Measuring 5.25 cms in length, including the bale and the drop, and on a good 9 ct. gold necklace chain with a length of 44 cms.
Should the chain not be required, the price would be reduced by £120.
