Levinger & Bissinger Plique-à-Jour Pendant*
Item Description
Jugendstil silver pendant from Levinger & Bissinger (Heinrich Levinger) with pale lilac plique-à-jour enamelling to the cells either side of an oval mother-of-pearl plaque set in the centre.
A classic Jugendstil outline with the outer frame widening at the bottom and crossing over itself before angling back symetrically.
At the foot is a little set mother-of-pearl drop.
Dating from circa 1905 and marked on the back with the HL maker’s mark together with Depose and the 800 silver mark.
The pendant is just a touch below 4 cm wide and measures 6 cm from the suspender ring to the bottom of the drop. The necklace chain is 46 cm long.
