Item Description
Super Arts & Crafts copper clad wooden workbox with the original interior still fitted out with five compartments of varying sizes.
Strong repoussé work on the top and all four sides depicting, in typical Art Nouveau fashion, a design of stylised hearts and sinuous looping tendrils.
Three hinges secure the lid which can be left open with the aid of two pieces of black ribbon (not original).
The box splays out at the base and the four concealed triangular wooden feet, housed beneath riveted corner pieces, give added strength and stability.
A good size at approximately 36.5 cm wide, 25 deep and 13 cm high. Dating circa 1905.
