Jugendstil Pendant by Fahrner for Murrle Bennett*
Item Description
Pendant made in Pforzheim by the Fahrner company for Murrle Bennett & Co.
Crafted in silver and gold, set with green chrysoprase cabochons and further detailed with green and dark blue enamelling.
Very 3-dimensional, with the forward part, including its arched wirework detail, being in gold and the area behind the stones featuring the enamelling, in silver.
Completed with an oval green chrysoprase drop which is also set in a gold mount.
The pendant is marked on the back both TF and MBCo and also for 950 silver.
Just a fraction below 5.5 cm long, including the bale and drop, with the necklace chain, which has a barrel type clasp, measuring 47 cm.
