Art Nouveau Pendant from Charles Horner
Item Description
An Art Nouveau silver pendant from Charles Horner which we don’t see too often and can be difficult to find.
A sweeping, openwork design, with overlapping linked tendrils enamelled where they widen in peacock eye shades of vivid blue and green, and with a similarly enamelled central circle.
The pendant is completed with a matching enamelled suspender from which it hangs on two short lengths of chain, and a typical Horner drop.
Marked on the reverse with the C.H maker’s mark together with a Chester hallmark for the year 1904.
The length from the suspender to the bottom of the drop is 6.5 cms. with the necklace chain measuring approximately 46 cms.
