Iridescent Myra-Kristall Glass Beaded Necklace
Item Description
A rare Art Deco necklace with iridescent glass beads made by the German company WMF in the late 1920’s or early 30’s.
The glass, known as Myra-Kristall was developed and perfected by Karl Wiedmann of WMF in 1926.
This necklace has three large colourless beads and four that are smaller and in a violet-purple shade that remarkably changes to amber when held to the light. Each bead is separated by an original metal spacer.
The silver chain is marked 925 on the clasp and the necklace has a total length of 40 cm.
A real collectors piece and in excellent condition.
