Art Nouveau Silver Ring by Miault*
Item Description
French Art Nouveau silver ring by Henry Miault, also known as Henri-Victor Miault, dating from the early 1900’s.
The shank of the ring is curved in such a way that it arrives at opposite sides of the top, with each side providing the starting point for the stem of a ginko leaf which reaches across the face to the other side.
Between the two leaves is set a rather wonderful baroque pearl, its craggy surface being full of character.
French silver marks and a somewhat indistinct maker’s mark can be seen on the shank.
The ring is a UK size midway between K and L.
N.B. A drawing of a very similar ring, if not identical, can be seen in the book Bijoux Objets d’Art Henry Miault.
