Enamelled Canary Pendant
Item Description
Delightful little circular pendant in 9 ct. gold with a Birmingham hallmark for the year 1925.
The raised rim of the pendant encloses an etched design which frames the shield-shaped focal point of a perching yellow canary set against a black background.
In addition to the hallmark there is on the back a maker’s mark J.M.C but we’ve not been able to ascertain who this might be.
Measuring 3.5 cms. long including the bale, with the necklace chain having a length of 39 cms.
