Jugendstil Silver and Malachite Pendant*
Item Description
Jugendstil pendant, probably from one of the Pforzheim based jewellers, dating from the early 1900’s.
Almost circular in outline and with a hammered finish, the silver-work is very three-dimensional and set in the centre with a triangular malachite cabochon.
Suspended on five short lengths of chain is a square malachite cabochon set in a silver mount and below this hang three baroque pearl drops.
A very individual look but frustratingly unmarked.
Just a fraction over 8 cms. long including the bale and the longest drop, with the silver necklace chain measuring 47 cms. in length.
