Deco Silver Bowl with Lapis Decor*
Item Description
Art Deco silver bowl made by Barker Bros. Silversmiths Ltd who were based in Constitution Hill, Birmingham.
Raised on a rounded foot decorated with a tiny detailed pattern which is repeated around the rim of the bowl itself. The short column just above the foot shows a studded detail all round.
Rectangular lapis lazuli stones with faceted edges are set into both handles which abut the edge of the rim, supported from below by curved brackets.
The diameter of the bowl is 20 cm and the width betwen the handle tips just a fraction below 31 cm. Height is aproximately 8 cm.
Hallmarked for 1937 and weighing 464 gms or 16.36 oz.
