Copper Jardinière
Item Description
Arts & Crafts patinated copper jardinière of a decent size with a very pleasing shape.
The bulbous body is raised off a circular foot and flares out at the top into a wide rim.
Decorated in the Art Nouveau style with a repoussé design of stylised flowers and winding stems, which is repeated three times around the bowl.
It has obvioulsy seen usage in its long lifetime, showing a few small dinks and a somewhat wavy edge to the rim . The latter could quite easily be straightened by a competent restorer if thought necessary.
Circa 1905 and with a height of around 22 cm. The diameter of the rim at its extremities is 24.5 cm.
