Brooch attr. to Sibyl Dunlop*
Item Description
Arts & Crafts sterling silver brooch with a circular outline and open look, featuring clusters of nasturtium like flowers and leaves separated by crescent shaped green chrysoprase segments.
These radiate out from a central moonstone cabochon in such a way as to give the brooch a look of movement, almost suggesting it’s spinning like a wheel.
Dating from circa 1920-25 with no marks and sold to us as by Amy Sandheim. However we are pretty sure that it’s from the workshop of Sibyl Dunlop as it bears more of the typical features of her work.
A roll-over safety catch is fitted to the clasp.
The brooch has a diameter of just a fraction below 4.5 cm.
