Bromsgrove Guild Necklace by Lorenzo Headley*
Item Description
Very lovely Arts & Crafts gold necklace from the Bromsgrove Guild of Applied Art made by Lorenzo Headley.
An ornate design with intricate scrolling wirework and incorporating two sprays of leaves, either side of a strongly coloured oval opal.
Below this main element is suspended in the centre a square set mother-of-pearl plaque and another, oval in shape, completes the central drop.
On each side is a double drop set with further opals, graduating down in size.
The intricate chainwork is original and is decorated with side attachments of shaped gold wirework set with opals.
This necklace, along with another (see our item no. 13025), was acquired by our vendor directly from the descendents of the maker.
Opened out, the total length is 40 cm and the main element, down to and including the central drop, measures 5.75 cm.
