Arts & Crafts Silver and Moonstone Pendant Necklace*
Item Description
English Arts & Crafts silver pendant, openwork in style with a moonstone cabochon set in the centre.
Almost circular in outline, the slightly convex face is detailed with little leaves and a four pointed design crafted from twisted silver wire.
A tapered moonstone bead is suspended below, forming the drop.
The pendant hangs on two short lengths of chain from a pair of rings which connect to the matching necklace chain.
Unmarked but known to be from the workshop of Gladys and Charles Mumford.
Fitted with a typical Arts & Crafts toggle type fastener, the chain measures aproximately 46 cm long. The pendant, from the highest central ring to the bottom of the drop is a little over 8 cm in length.
