Arts & Crafts Necklace attr. to the Gaskins
Item Description
A very fine Arts & Crafts silver necklace, the design of which is firmly attributed to Arthur and Georgie Gaskin.
With an upright oval wirework frame of flowers, stems and leaves surrounding a centrally set mother-of-pearl plaque, and further detailed at N, S, E and W with little amethyst cabochons.
The pendant hangs from a circular surmount set with a single large amethyst.
On the original ornate chain with decorative openwork spacers, the lowest two set with mother-of-pearl.
Measuring just a touch over 6 cms. in length, including the amethyst surmount, with the necklace chain having a length of approximately 42 cms.
