Arts & Crafts 18 ct. Gold and Opal Necklace
Item Description
Quite stunning Arts & Crafts pendant necklace crafted mainly in 18 ct. gold with just the backs of the opal settings in silver.
An openwork design with a garland of leaves within and ahead of the wirework outer frame.
A well coloured opal is set at top centre, with no less that sixteen small opals interspersed among the gold leaves and stems.
The pendant is suspended on two short lengths of chain from a decorative bale which connects to the 9 ct. gold necklace chain.
Unmarked but a beautifully made piece of Arts & Crafts jewellery from the early 1900’s and measuring just shy of 8.5 cms. long including the bale.
The necklace chain is 46 cms. in length
