Brooch attr. to Dorrie Nossiter*
Item Description
Charming little English Arts & Crafts circular brooch attributed to Dorrie Nossiter, dating from the 1930’s to 40’s.
With a silver wirework frame that winds over and under itself as it circles, enclosing a typical Nossiter design incorporating a combination of silver and gold leaves, berry clusters and tiny whorls.
Set amongst these are five gemstones, some of which are faceted and others left en-cabochon.
No marks but we are confident of the attribution, this brooch being so completely typical of her work.
The diameter is 2.5 cms. or one inch.
