Art Nouveau Pewter Liqueur Set
Item Description
Pretty liqueur set comprising polished pewter lidded jug and tray with six original (so we have been assured) and undamaged glasses.
Lovely Art Nouveau design with long-tailed birds adorning the ends of the tray and a draped pattern with flowers on the jug.
We are unable to find a maker’s mark but believe this set to have come either from Urania or Norica Zinn. Both were highly regarded companies that made similar items.
The condition is good. Length of the tray is a fraction under 36 cm by 11 cm at its widest point, and the height of the jug is around 16.5 cm. Probably made between 1900 and 1905.
