Murrle Bennett Gold and Opal Pendant with Diamonds
Item Description
Art Nouveau pendant in 15 ct. gold from Murrle Bennett & Co. dating from the very early 1900’s.
Semi openwork in design with an upright oval outline , the lower part elegantly fanning outwards just a little, and set in the centre with a splendidly colourful opal surrounded by six little diamonds set at intervals directly into the gold body of the pendant.
Finished at the foot with another well coloured opal forming the drop and showing a clear MBCo maker’s mark on the back together with 15 ct.
Just a touch over 4.5 cms. long including the bale and the drop, with the 9 ct. gold necklace chain measuring 51 cms.
