Art Deco Lady & Birds*
Item Description
Pretty Art Deco silvered spelter lady, kneeling on one leg with the other outstretched in front of her. Her arms are spread wide and a small bird is perching on the fingers of her right hand while another sits in the palm of her left.
She wears a very Deco black and gold stripy skirt which flares out around her legs as she quietly poses.
Set on an oval black and white striated marble base which measures a fraction under 27 X 11 cm.
Unsigned but we have it on good authority that this probably a piece by Roggia (thought to be a pseudonym of Ugo Cipriani).
Generally good condition with the silver finish a little worn in places due to eighty-odd years of previous ownership. It still looks delightful on display.
