Art Deco Egyptian Revival Brooch
Item Description
Striking German Art Deco era brooch crafted in high carat gold and platinum.
Almost circular in outline and with a strong open design featuring a mirrored pair of stylised lotus leaves with a little flower bud at the top.
Set with diamonds, rubies and pearls, and further detailed with subtle enamelling in a shade of smoky blue.
The brooch is very well contoured, increasing its three-dmensional appearance and is completed with a little diamond above a pearl forming the drop at the foot.
Complete with the original leather covered fiited case with the Swiss retailer’s name of Albert Mayer & Cie in gold lettering inside the lid.
Measuring just a fraction below 4 cms. in height by 2.5 cms. wide.
