Arts & Crafts Silver Pendant with Paste Stones
Item Description
Heart shaped silver pendant made in the Arts & Crafts style, set with a mix of mainly clear paste stones, highlighted with a green paste heart suspended in the centre, together with a pink stone immediately above.
Alternating little pink and green stones set inside the outer frame complete a quietly colourful display.
The pendant hangs on two short lengths of chain which are also set with clear paste stones and which are in turn suspended from a decorative bow shaped surmount and an oval bale that are decorated with still more little paste stones.
A great deal of work has quite obviously gone into the crafting of this delightful little pendant which dates from somewhere between 1900 and 1910.
There are some indistinct marks on the bale which could well be French silver marks.
Length, including the bale, is 7.5 cms. with the silver chain measuring 39 cms.
