Murrle Bennett Silver & Amethyst Pendant Necklace
Item Description
Completely original Art Nouveau silver pendant necklace from Murrle Bennett dating from the early 1900’s.
With a lightly hammered finish to the silver and a series of raised dots below an openwork design that curves and twists its way both over and under itself.
Set in the centre is a strongly coloured faceted amethyst, with another in the drop below.
The pendant hangs on four short lengths of chain which extend into the necklace chain itself, this being fitted with its original toggle type fastener.
Clearly marked MBCo on the back and 4 cms. long, with a fully opened out length of 41 cms.
