‘Amazonian Warrior’ by Pierre Le Faguays*
Item Description
Large, rare and gorgeous dark gold and green patinated bronze sculpture by Pierre Le Faguays titled ‘Amazonian Warrior’.
She stands, leaning back and looking skyward, with one leg raised high in front of her. She’s holding a cutlass in her right hand and has her ornate shield strapped to her left arm which is held above.
Wearing just a highly decorative skirt, she is semi-nude and her wonderful posture combines both strength and elegance.
With further detail to the jewels of her skirt highlighted in red and blue cold paint.
Mounted on an impressive verde antico marble base, signed by the artist and standing a total of 57 cm high.
A beautiful sculpture dating from circa 1930.
