Ceramic & Porcelain Figures

The number of different ceramic figures and figurines produced over both the Art Nouveau and Deco eras must surely amount to many tens of thousands. We’ve concentrated mainly on those that truly capture the essence of the two periods. These are, therefore, mostly of girls and young women as it is fair to say that they are generally easier on the eye than male figures, and in any case were designed in far greater numbers. Children, too, made great subjects and we are always looking for those examples that have captured just the right look. The Austrian manufactory Goldscheider produced stunning stylised ceramic figures that reflect the Art Deco period especially well, but there are other makers, as can be seen from the selection we offer, that also designed and made wonderful pieces that are all very collectable.
