Bronze & Spelter Figures

Under this heading we list both male and female figures, some on marble, onyx or slate plinths, others free-standing. Many of the finest sculptures from both the Nouveau and Deco eras were cast in bronze, with many good Deco pieces also being made in spelter. We’ve included examples made from other metals, such as pewter or other alloys, and even silver as we consider they all fit into the same general category. The many fantastic sculptors from these times were certainly productive and much of their work still looks nothing short of inspirational. There is no set sequence in our catalogue, the items being shown in random order, both as to style and value. Bronze and spelter animals can be found in our Birds & Animals section.
